Comlanvi Anicet HOUNGBO WEBB FONTAINE

Mr. Anicet HOUNGBO is a Beninese national and holds a postgraduate degree in Transport and Logistics from the IUT of Dunkirk. He is an expert consultant in Customs and International Trade, with extensive experience in trade facilitation and logistics across West Africa. After several years with the Bureau Veritas Group, he joined Nathan Associates Inc. (Virginia, USA) as an Expert Consultant in International Trade and Logistics as part of a World Bank project aimed at assessing trade predictability in relation to the availability of trade information in UEMOA countries in 2013. He joined the Webb Fontaine Group in 2014 in Côte d’Ivoire, where he was responsible for project coordination, capacity building, and the transfer of skills and responsibilities to the Ivorian Customs administration. In 2017, he was appointed Director General of Webb Fontaine Benin, his country of origin. Since then, he has been leading the implementation of Customs reform and modernization projects entrusted to Webb Fontaine by the Government of Benin, working in close collaboration with the national Customs authorities. Under his leadership, several major solutions have been deployed, including the Single Window for Foreign Trade (GUCE), the electronic cargo tracking system, and the new generation Customs system, CUSTOMS WEBB. These solutions optimize logistics flows, reduce processing and clearance times, strengthen regulatory compliance, and contribute to increased government revenue.
