VISA INFORMATION

Before travelling to UAE, please make sure you are aware of the below conditions:

Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months

  • An eye scan or a facial recognition will be taken at the Immigration desk in the airport
  • Only normal passports can be used (i.e. no Diplomatic Passports)
  • Visa on Arrival

If you are from the 82 countries listed below, you do not need to apply for a visa before you travel to the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at UAE International airports and proceed to immigration, where your passport will be stamped with visit visa free of charge.

Other Countries Pre-arranged Visas

Should you hold a passport not included in the 82 countries listed, you will require a pre-arranged visa to enter the United Arab Emirates. Getting your visa will take approximately one week and the fee may vary depending on the country of origin.

TRAVEL

Travelling to Abu Dhabi

More carriers than ever are flying to the award-winning Zayed International Airport. The emirate has a well-planned road system and getting around is easy. Taxis are reasonably priced and can be flagged down or booked, with public transport buses being modern, air-conditioned, reliable, and cost-effective. You can also drive yourself, with fantastic infrastructure featuring well-marked roads in English and Arabic.

 

Airports

Airport-hotel-airport transportation will be provided to all delegates by the host country during the event dates.

Transfers from the official hotels to the venue and to the locations where the activities scheduled in the official agenda will also be available.

International Airport

Airport transfers will be available at Zayed International Airport and Dubai International Airport.

1. Zayed International Airport (formerly Abu Dhabi International Airport)

ADNEC Center is 15 minutes away from Zayed International Airport. Taxi pick up areas are signposted in the arrival halls.

2. Dubai International Airport

Journey to Abu Dhabi by taxi is approximately 90minutes.

Getting Around – Local Transportation

Abu Dhabi offers a comprehensive and efficient local transportation system with options to suit every need.

From modern public buses and the innovative Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) system to convenient ridehailing services like Uber and Careem, getting around the city is easy and accessible.

The well-integrated network ensures smooth connections to key destinations—whether commuting to work, exploring cultural sites, or traveling to the airport.

With its blend of public and private transport options, Abu Dhabi makes navigating the city straightforward for both residents and visitors.

 

Useful Information

  • Currency and banks : Local currency is UAE Dirham (AED). Major credit cards are widely accepted. Currency exchange available at the arrival zone
  • Weather : Abu Dhabi is a destination with almost year round sunshine, little rainfall and near-perfect winter temperatures. Lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but something slightly warmer may be needed for the winter months.
  • Culture : Although the attitude towards clothing style is fairly liberal throughout the UAE, a healthy amount of respect for local customs should be considered, especially when shopping or sightseeing.   • Power :Standard voltage, 220 V; standard frequency, 50 Hz
  • Timezone : Four hours ahead of UTC (Coordinated Universal Time, formerly known as GMT). There is no daylight saving
