Ara Shamirzayan is a technology and product executive with extensive experience in building and scaling complex digital platforms for global trade and government ecosystems. He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Webb Fontaine, where he has spent over 20 years leading and shaping global R&D and product organizations that deliver mission-critical solutions for customs administrations, ports, and trade communities across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Central America.
With a strong background in enterprise software architecture and product strategy, Ara has been deeply involved in the modernization of national customs and trade facilitation systems, including customs management systems, risk management, valuation and classification, single window platforms, and port community systems. His current focus is on AI-driven innovation, scalable and modular product architectures, and evolving software delivery models to address the growing complexity, scale, and regulatory demands of global trade.
