Ahmed M. Elshahat Osman is the director of the business intelligence department at Misr Technology Services (MTS). Ahmed has extensive experience in the information systems industry, spanning more than 40 years, beginning with application programming and progressing to implementing modern technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence in data analysis and decision support systems. Ahmed earned his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in 1982, 1986, and 2023, respectively.
Ahmed’s practical experience includes a decade of work in one of the Arab Gulf countries in Customs automation. Upon his return to Egypt in 1997, he and his colleagues established several companies focused on ports, Customs, and OGAs automation. Ahmed has held several technical positions and currently serves as Business Intelligence (BI) department director at Misr Technology Services (MTS).
In addition to his practical and academic interest in information systems, Ahmed enjoys classical music, photography, and reading philosophy of science.
