Philippe Duponteil – Director for Customs Tariffs and Digital Delivery of Customs and Taxation Policies, Directorate General for Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD), European Commission
Mr. Duponteil serves as Director for Customs Tariffs & Digital Delivery of Customs and Taxation Policies at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union (TAXUD). Previously, he was Director of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), supporting EU policy development, and held several management roles at DG TRADE, including Head of Division leading EU trade negotiations with China, Japan, and Korea. He also served as Minister-Counsellor at the EU Delegation to Japan. Before joining the European Commission in 1995, Philippe worked for the French Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
