Panel Session

Cross-border trade remains burdened by manual paperwork, redundant data entry, and siloed systems, causing costly delays, as well as risks related to fraud and non-compliance. A new generation of digital trade solutions is emerging that connects data once and reuses it many times, enabling faster and more secure border process.

This session will demonstrate how trusted, interoperable digital ecosystems can streamline information flows between traders, logestics providers, Customs and other border agencies. Approaches such as verifiable credentials and linked data can form part of this toolbox by making documents tamper evident and machine readable across systems.

Participants will be equipped with the knowledge on how Customs administrations, technology providers and traders can work together to move from paper-based, transaction-by-transaction controls to more automated and dat-driven faciliation. The session will focus on practical implementations that reduce clearance times, cut administrative costs and errors, and build trust in cross-border trade.
